Rourke, Pickett, Beverette named CFL's top players for September
The Lions quarterback, Argos linebacker and Alouettes linebacker earned the monthly honours for their standout performances.
TORONTO — B.C. Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke, Toronto Argonauts linebacker Adarius Pickett and Montreal Alouettes linebacker Tyrice Beverette have been named the CFL's top players of September.
Rourke threw for 1,067 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception over three games this month while leading the Lions to a 2-1 record.
The Victoria pivot also ran for 145 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and extended his streak of 300-yard passing performances to seven straight games.

Pickett recorded 35 total tackles, two sacks and two pass knockdowns as the Argonauts won all four of their September games.
He had a 13-tackle performance against Edmonton in Week 16.
Beverette had 20 tackles, one interception, two sacks and one forced fumble for the Alouettes, who went 2-1 in September.
He returned a pick 57 yards for his first career touchdown in a Week 14 win over B.C.
Rourke's 1,067 passing yards in September came on 81 completions from 111 attempts, for a completion rate of 73 per cent.
His seven touchdown passes included three in a Week 15 victory over Saskatchewan.
Pickett's 35 tackles led all CFL defenders for the month, and his two sacks brought his season total to five.
The Argos linebacker also forced a fumble in a Week 17 win over Hamilton.
Beverette's interception return for a touchdown against B.C. was the first defensive score of his CFL career.
The Alouettes linebacker added three tackles for a loss and two quarterback pressures during the month.
Rourke is now a two-time winner of the CFL's top performer award, having also earned the honour in August.
Pickett's recognition marks his first monthly award of the 2026 season.
Beverette's September performance helped Montreal maintain its hold on second place in the East Division.
The Lions finished September with a 10-5 record, while the Argonauts improved to 12-3.
The Alouettes sit at 8-7 after their 2-1 month.
