Raptors sign forward Tyson Degenhart, waive guard Andre Jackson Jr
The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 8.5 points for Raptors 905 last season after a standout college career at Boise State.
TORONTO — The Toronto Raptors signed forward Tyson Degenhart and waived guard Andre Jackson Jr. on Monday.
The team did not disclose the financial terms of the contract.
Degenhart, a six-foot-eight power forward, spent the 2025-26 season with the NBA G League's Raptors 905. He averaged 8.5 points, three rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21 minutes over 50 games.

He shot 54.7 per cent from the field, 38.9 per cent from three-point range and 71.1 per cent from the free-throw line last season.
The Raptors noted Degenhart scored double-digit points in 21 games, including a season-high 24 points against the Motor City Cruise and a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in a March 23 match against the Salt Lake City Stars.
Prior to joining the 905 as an undrafted free agent, Degenhart played college basketball at Boise State. He averaged 18.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his senior season.
He became the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,037 points and earned All-Mountain West First Team honours three times from 2022 to 2025.
After a game last December, Degenhart told broadcaster Chris McKee that "defence will take you a long way, that's for sure."
Speaking to his history as a volume scorer in college, Degenhart dismissed the need for him to contribute in that manner, arguing that he wanted to win and was capable of impacting games in other ways.
He was previously signed to an Exhibit 10 contract by the Raptors last month but was waived shortly after.
Jackson Jr., 24, spent the last three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks after being acquired in a draft-night trade with the Orlando Magic in 2023. He was selected in the second round, 36th overall.
A UConn product who won the national championship in 2023, Jackson Jr. has played 172 NBA games, averaging 2.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and one assist over 11.4 minutes per game.
He averaged a career-low 2.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 8.5 minutes per game last season.
The Raptors initially brought in Jackson Jr. on an Exhibit 10 contract in August, and he could earn incentive money if he joins the Raptors 905.
Toronto will open the 2026-27 season at home against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 21.
