TORONTO · The Canadian Premier League has named its three finalists for the 2026 Golden Glove award. Forge FC's Dimitry Bertaud, Cavalry FC's Nathan Ingham and Atlético Ottawa's Christopher Kalongo are in contention for the honour recognizing the league's top goalkeeper. The winner will be determined by votes from the technical leadership of all eight CPL clubs and selected media members. The award will be presented on Nov. 19 during the CPL Awards ceremony as part of the league final festivities.

Bertaud posted a league-best clean-sheet rate of 43 per cent during the regular season. The 28-year-old recorded 10 clean sheets in his 23 starts for Forge FC. He led all goalkeepers with a 93.3 per cent save rate on shots from outside the penalty area. Bertaud also ranked second among his peers in both overall save percentage (72.1 per cent) and save percentage on shots from inside the box (65.2 per cent).

Ingham led the league with 11 clean sheets and 27 starts for the CPL Shield-winning Cavalry side. The 33-year-old veteran posted the highest overall save percentage among CPL goalkeepers at 72.5 per cent. He also led the league in minutes played with 2,430. This nomination is the fourth of Ingham's career since the league's inaugural season in 2019.

Kalongo made 58 saves for Atlético Ottawa, just one fewer than Ingham despite making nine fewer starts. The 24-year-old averaged 3.22 saves per 90 minutes, the highest rate among the three nominees. He ranked third among league goalkeepers with a 62.7 per cent save rate on shots from inside the box. Kalongo also registered four clean sheets and completed all eight of his sweeper actions during the campaign.

Voting for the award is based solely on regular season performances, excluding cup and playoff matches. The winner will receive a unique piece of Inuit soapstone art carved by Ruben Komangapik. The statue of a Canadian Inuit Dog symbolizes the protective role shared by the animal and goalkeepers. Past winners include Marco Carducci, Triston Henry and last year's recipient, Jassem Koleilat.
