Midnite expands World Snooker Tour deal to sponsor all Triple Crown events
The deal adds the UK Championship to the operator's existing sponsorships of the World Championship and the Masters.
Midnite has extended its partnership with the World Snooker Tour to become the official UK betting and casino partner for all three of snooker's Triple Crown events. The expanded agreement adds the UK Championship to the operator's existing sponsorships of the World Snooker Championship and the Masters. The UK Championship begins on November 28 at the York Barbican and concludes on December 6. The deal gives Midnite brand presence at the UK Championship in York, the Masters at London's Alexandra Palace and the World Championship at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre.
Callum Wilson, senior PR manager at Midnite, said the expansion was a natural progression. "Snooker has been a fantastic sport for us to be involved with, and we're really excited to be extending our partnership with the World Snooker Tour to cover all three Triple Crown events," Wilson said. "We've already had some great experiences working with WST through the World Championship and the Masters, so adding the UK Championship feels like a natural next step for us." He noted the significance of the three tournaments for players and fans. "These are the three tournaments that every snooker player dreams of winning, and they mean a huge amount to fans as well," Wilson added. "To have Midnite involved in all three is something we're really proud of. We've enjoyed building our relationship with WST and we're excited to keep that going, finding new ways to get involved in the sport and bring fans closer to the action."
The UK Championship, first held in 1977, features 32 players, including the top 16 in the world rankings and 16 qualifiers. This year's event will offer a prize fund of 1.5 million pounds, an increase from 1.2 million pounds in 2025. The champion will take home 312,500 pounds. Midnite said the sponsorship reflects a wider trend among UK operators of aligning with established sporting properties for brand visibility.
The operator said adding the UK Championship was the next step in its partnership with the tour, giving its brand a presence across the three tournaments that carry the most significance for players and fans. The agreement provides exposure across a sport with a consistent domestic television audience and a defined competitive season. Midnite develops its sportsbook and casino platform in-house and is licensed by the Great Britain Gambling Commission and the Irish Revenue Commissioner. Midnite is backed by investors including Raine Group, Discerning Capital, Venrex, Makers Fund and Play Ventures, having raised more than $35 million in funding. The expanded agreement also reflects Midnite's wider ambition to build lasting partnerships with major sporting events and find new ways to connect with the fans who follow them.
