Casino Guru Awards open nominations for fifth edition
The 2026 edition saw a one-third increase in nominations and over 150,000 public votes.
The Casino Guru Awards have opened nominations for their fifth edition, following a 2026 season that drew about one-third more nominations and over 150,000 public votes.
New features are on the way, Casino Guru said, including a stronger focus on player protection and "a project that goes beyond the usual category line-up."
"We have seen participation grow, we have seen new categories receive a very strong response, and we have seen how much interest there is in recognizing work that genuinely improves the industry," said Daniela Sliva, PR & Creative Project Director at Casino Guru and leader of the Casino Guru Awards project.

The awards recognise companies, initiatives, and individuals contributing to fairness, transparency, and innovation in the iGaming industry.
Details of the 2027 categories, nomination process, and key dates will be announced soon.
The awards, organised by Casino Guru, focus on achievements beyond commercial performance, including impact on players, industry standards, and the wider gambling environment.
Over the past four years, the programme has recognised work in areas such as fair terms and conditions, bonus policies, responsible gambling, complaint handling, transparency, social responsibility, leadership, and innovation.
The upcoming edition follows a strong response to the 2026 awards, with total nominations increasing by about one-third from the previous year.
Newly introduced categories also attracted significant interest.
Public voting categories Players' Choice and Voice of the People collected more than 150,000 votes.
Nearly 150 iGaming professionals attended the live awards ceremony at The Xara Lodge in Malta.
Sliva said, "This year, we want to build on that. Player protection is one area where we believe even more good work deserves recognition, but we have been developing something else as well. We are keeping that part to ourselves for a little longer."
